Branch Insignia

The U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery branch insignia is a gold-tone missile on top of two crossed field guns. The crossed cannons (field guns) have been in continuous use since 1834 as the insignia for the Artillery branch. The missile was added to differentiate the Air Defense Artillery branch.
