III Corps

III Corps is headquartered at Fort Hood, Texas. III Corps was originally activated in World War I in France and oversaw US Army divisions as they repelled several major German offensives. III Corps is also known as Phantom Corps.

The III Corps Insignia is a triangular design that represents the numerical designation of the corps with its three points. The blue and white are the authorized colors used in distinguishing flags to represent Corps.
