Insignia Details

The U.S. Army Armor branch insignia honors both the heritage and evolution of the branch. It features a gold-tone front view of an M26 tank, its gun slightly elevated, superimposed over two crossed cavalry sabers in scabbards. The sabers reflect the branch’s proud origins in the Cavalry, whose crossed sabers have symbolized strength and mobility since 1851, while the M26 tank represents the modern power and mission of today’s Armor forces.
