The U.S. Army Adjutant General’s Corps branch insignia reflects the enduring heritage of the Corps. It features a silver and enamel shield with thirteen vertical stripes—seven silver and six red—beneath a blue chief adorned with one large and twelve small silver stars. Based on the shield from the Coat of Arms of the United States, this design was adopted in 1872 to symbolize unity, service, and steadfast dedication to the Army’s mission.
