It has been a wild year but we are excited to finally share some updates with you. The Hope Design Ltd. team has grown by two active-duty military spouses, and I am thrilled to have business battle buddies as we continue to provide handcrafted heirlooms for our military community and beyond. I feel most at peace at the jeweler's bench, and it is an honor to create such meaningful pieces with friends at my side.
One of these friends is a local military spouse here in Georgia, Tyler Venafro. We met at the school bus stop on the first day of school, and —as military families are wont to do with new friends at bus stops— became each other’s emergency contacts since we had both just moved here. We became fast friends, meeting every morning with my coffee and her Red Bull. We roped our husbands into becoming friends too, and then became “Team Tall & Short” for trivia nights at our local pub. Formerly an active duty Airman, Tyler is now an Air Force Reservist while her husband is still active-duty Army. She has been instrumental in taking care of our customers, accepting incoming orders, and meticulously crafting our everyday heirlooms. I am so happy to have her in the studio as we create and fill orders. We became friends for a reason, and it has become a season.
The other addition to Hope Design Ltd. is Abby Ammons. We met as neighbors when we were stationed at West Point, but our husbands have actually known each other longer than they have known us: they were in the same company as cadets! Abby handles all of our writing and social media copy, and also promotes our products to relevant media outlets. After a decade of friendship, Abby and I have had many professional (ad)ventures together, and I think at this point, we’re stuck together for life.
As far as what you can expect from the shop, I will have a lot of new pieces and refreshes on noteworthy classics over the coming months. This year has provided opportunities to go antiquing during my travels across the United States, and the vintage brooch haul has been impressive! Keep an eye out for our socials and upcoming newsletters so you can be the first to claim a one-of-a-kind piece. We have some absolute stunners in our collection!
We are in the process of rearranging our priorities for our lines and designs, and some items will be moving to the Limited Edition collection. One of these designs is our large rhinestone pendant necklace, so make sure to purchase yours before it goes into the vault!
